I spend my money on a number of things: food, books, clothes, movie tickets, but the fact that I love makeup it is no secret. Like all beauty bloggers, I drool over the luxurious purchases that other bloggers make, not just because I think their blog photos of these products are to. die. for. but because I have probably tested them myself in stores and fallen head-over-heals in love. I enjoy learning of a beauty-blogger’s deepest makeup desires, and I loved the post Ana of Ravishing Roses did, revealing hers. Again, like most beauty bloggers, I can’t afford all of the products I see in stores that I have fallen in love with, but IF (and that’s a big-ass ‘if’) I had all the money in the world, here are some of the beauty products I would immediately sweep into my shopping basket:
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow ($68): This bronzing and highlighting duo has become a cult favorite over that past year in the beauty world. If the glamorous vintage-Hollywood-inspired packaging wasn’t enough to make me drool, the swatches I see if it are.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Soft Plum ($58): I was lusting over the Ambient Lighting Blush Palette and am currently still drooling over my Ambient Lighting Palette (that review is coming soon, I swear guys), and have figured that if I’m going to splurge on one of the Hourglass blushes, it’s going to be one that I can wear for at least half of the year, and soft plum suits that agenda.
YSL Volupte Tint-in-Oil (any color really, $32): I have one of the YSL Rouge Lipsticks and whipping that bad boy out makes me feel like the most glam gal in town. These oils seem to be no exception. I’m always blown away by the moisture factor when I swatch it on my hand in stores and the subtle in of color make these lip-tints ideal for everyday one-swipe-and-go use.
tarte Maracuja Lip Exfoliant ($16): Since getting my braces, I’ve noticed that my lips dry out even faster and the skin gets scraped and flakes so much more easily. I love tarte‘s inclusion of maracuja and their skin care products haven’t done me any wrong before, so naturally this lip scrub seems like redemption day to my poor lips.
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Nouveau Monde ($35): I own Kuala Lumpur (blogpost featuring it coming soon!) and it’s possibly now my new favorite eyeshdow combination, especially now that fall is coming up. I swatched several other of the duos in Sephora this summer and as fall approaches, this duo has captured my heart, especially for you, olive-gold color… $35 may seem steep for just two eyeshadows, but they’re completely worth it. I mean, it’s NARS.
Victoria Beckham X Nails Inc. in Bamboo White Collection ($25):This color is one part of the duo limited edition colors by Victoria Beckham, so my fortune had better make a 180 real fast. I tend to ogle the other Nails Inc. polishes on a regular basis, but something about this color just coos my name and man are my nails craving nude shades. looks so crisp and clean, I almost can’t help myself!
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Bond Girl ($32): Not only am I a known (and proud) lip junkie, but c’mon guys, were you really expecting to get through a blogger wish-list with only one CT product mentioned? I think all of the shades in CT‘s Matte Revolution look gorg, but I’ve been feeling the more natural lip shades a bit more recently, and I can’t resist berry shades- and I feel like Bond Girl checks both those boxes! And once again, can we appreciate the packaging? Just for a moment?
Guerlain Météorites Powder for the Face ($62): This is definitely my most frequently viewed product over at Kicks… Not only does seeing the packaging with my own two eyes make me feel like a princess about to be handed her jeweled crown, but the colors would be perfect for color-correction for my skin type (there are two other shades!) and give me a lovely luminous glow. (*dreamy sigh*)
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream ($30): I have pretty intense dark circles thanks to my extremely placid skin and am always on the look-out for something to help me solve that. I think it’s important to splurge on skincare, and this just might be my ticket.
Chloe Love Story perfume ($105): I feel every lady needs a romantic perfume, and while I love my muskier scents, a lovely floral scent can be just the thing to make you feel ready to go out and conquer the attractive people of the world (take that however you will). One last time, the packaging. Oh lawd… It reminds me of the locks on the Love Bridge in Paris, contributing even further for its luxus-romantic persona.
That’s my list for now folks! I’m sure it will shrink and grow with time, but in the meanwhile PLEASE tell me three items on your lust list in the comments! I’m always eager to hear about new beauty products (though I can’t say the same for my wallet).
Should I make a post like this for fashion? I’d like to start blogging more fashion-related things!
