Empties #1

There’s often something quite satisfying about finishing a product up, and I say often because sometimes said product is limited edition, hard to come by, expensive, or runs out on you right when you need it. After looking at the ever-growing pile up used up or stopped-using products I have, I thought I’d give you guys a run down of some of the things in this pile, my thoughts and would I purchase them again (quite poetic given my last post was a haul):
DSC02626Batiste Dry Shampoo (original)

I love this stuff, and the one you see in the thumbnail is my fourth can within the past 5 months. I love how fresh it makes my hair feel and how it helps to add a little bit of volume to my destined-to-be-eternally-flat hair. This item is a cult favorite, and I can see why. When I visited the US I tried another dry shampoo and when I finally found a bottle of Batiste, I chucked the other one in the garbage so quickly I don’t even remember the brand name. Would I repurchase this product? Yes! I’m testing one from L’Oreal atm but I do love me some of this Batiste.

Maybellline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Gel (Transparent)

This was the first brow gel I’ve ever tried and my friends, was it a religious experience. While I can’t say it was the best of the best, since my hairs wouldn’t always stay in place the whole day without overly-coating them with product, this really helped to define the natural shape of my brows and make them the best they could be. So far, I am preferring the formula of the transparent to the colored one, and I have some others I want to try with fibers to help make the brows look stronger. Nonetheless, this is a good product if you’re just dabbling in the art of brows or are simply looking for a way to help tame and sculpt your own full brows. Would I repurchase this product? Currently using the one in Auburn, and I’ll give you my thoughts on it later down the line.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation (lightest shade most likely)

This was the first foundation I’ve ever tried and I have not repurchased it since finishing it several months ago. I tried it because of all the hype around it, but after a while I found that it just emphasized my dry patches like crazy, especially around my nose and forehead. Would I repurchase this product? Maybe, just to give it a second chance, but that’s the only reason. I do appreciate how vast the shade range is though.

Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover

This is by far the best eye makeup remover I have used, mainly because it really does feel oil-free. You know how sometimes you’ll need to remove some of your eye makeup because you messed it up, but then everything else moves or won’t sit still because of it? This problem vanishes when you use this! Not to mention that the small hole a the top helps to control the amount you distribute, no sloshing out! Would I repurchase this product? I can’t wait to!!!

Clinique Line-Smoothing Concealer (02 Light)

This is my second tube of this concealer in this color, and I use it to cancel out my dark under-eye bags since it’s quite salmon-toned. It’s of a rather thick consistency, so it is rather prone to creasing if not set immediately, which is quite (*cough*) ironic considering the name… However, I think it works really well in combination with the next concealer featured in this list… Would I repurchase this product? Probably, since I already have before but I’m first going to dig around a bit for a lighter-in-consistency concealer.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara (deluxe sample): I absolutely love this mascara for days when I want my makeup to look quite light, natural, and feminine. Which unfortunately for me has been quite recently, and it’s all gone!!! (*sob*) I love this especially for the wand, and once I pick up a new tube, I’ll be sure to do a full review on it. Would I repurchase this product? … Did I not just say when I pick up a new tube? My friends, there’s a Full-Exposure-Mascara-sized hole in my heart right now!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (shade 115)

I am already almost through two more tubes of this stuff- I love it. I won’t go into too much detail on this product here because I did a full review already, which you can read here. It is very brightening, and works really well under the eyes to cover dark circles when applied over a salmon-colored concealer. Would I repurchase this product? Definitely! I already have a backup!

Are you satisfied when you finish products?

I feel like I’m the only one that hasn’t tried the Batiste dry shampoo. I should really try it out… and the Maybelline concealer is the best, I think I finished 3 tubes ❤

I’ll be through with my second and third quite shortly! Luckily I have my fourth tube, fresh and ready to back me up 🙂 And yes, Batiste is great and they have so many scents and different sprays that suit different hair colors as well, definitely recommend it!
