My everyday makeup: January

In the month of January I actually had a pretty solid makeup routine down, as opposed to my usual style of changing my look up every day. I haven’t touched red lips in ages, it feels! I’ve been super into this warm champagne look, so if you’re interested in seeing how I got, be sure to keep reading!

I’ve been alternating my bases for the month based on what my skin’s been needing. I’ve had the Makeup Forever Invisible Coverage Ultra HD foundation, L’Oreal‘s Lumi Magique BB cream, and Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in rotation, but for today I selected the Maybelline BB cream, because the salicylic acid in it is great for treating my breakouts. I’ve been using a fair few concealers but for the most part have stuck with my trusty Maybelline Fit Me! concealers in 10 and 15 for concealing, color correction and brightening. For setting powder I’ve been reaching for my Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder every day.

While the sun has been out and about more, this is a pretty warm-toned look, and that means warming up my complexion. I’ve opted for my Body Shop Honey Glow Bronzer since it’s super light and natural-looking thanks to it’s matte formula. For blusher I’ve been adoring the left side of this Cezzane Silk Touch Cheek blush duo in 01 Pink. It’s provided flush really makes it look like I’ve spent some time out in the fresh air.

I’ve resorted back to an old favorite for filling in my brows this month, and that’s my Daiso brow pencil. It’s waxiness helps indicate where I should be filling my brows in with powder and helps the product stick better. My eye makeup has definitely been my favorite part of this look. I prep my lid with my beloved e.lf. Smudge Pot in Crusin’ Chic for a lovely bronze base, and then moved in with the lovely salmon champagne pink shadow from my Canmake Juicy Pure Eyes trio in #5 Milky Pink Beige on the inner 2/3rds. To define my crease, I took the darkest shade, a lovely shimmery brown, on a fluffy crease brush. For my inner corners, I highlighted with Becca‘s Champagne Pop highlighter, the beauty product with perhaps the greatest cult following. It really is all it’s talked up to be. I even have been patting a bit of it onto the center of my lid to reflect more light. To finish off the eyes, I’ve been loving the Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara, and sometimes making a little flick with the Tarte Precision Liquid Liner (just not today).

After highlighting the high-points of my face with Champagne Pop or Benefit‘s High Beam, I’ve swiped on a bit of a gloss for the cherry on top. I’ve bounced between severl different ones, and most of the shades in my collection of NYX Butter Glosses that I shared the other day (you can read about them here) suit this look. The one I’ve probably used the most is Tiramisu, like I have today. These glosses really are THE no-fuss grab-n’-go lip product, perfect for my late mornings!
