Okay, yeah, you caught me. I’ve been browsing blog after vlog of beauty products, and the arrival of a new season always makes for a great shopping excuse. As you all might be able to tell right now, one of my favorite categories of investment is beauty. Lately I’ve also found myself enjoying more high-end/premium products than drugstore, and that trend seems to continue in this list. While I’m sure I won’t be able to get a hold of all of these things by summer, here’s my spring beauty wish list:
Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in 01 Rose Shimmer
For just the right touch of color and shimmer, perfect for a natural springtime look. I’ve heard these being raved about all over the interwebs and it’s damn time I bought into the hype myself.
Clinque Cheek Pop in Peach Pop
The formula of these blushes are so easy to work with and really flatter the skin. And what better way to flatter one’s skin in spring than with a pop of peach blush? Plus the cute flower design screams spring!
Escada Cherry in the Air
If you read my last post, you’d know this has been a fragrance I’ve really been enjoying this spring, but I also only have a deluxe sample of it that’s almost out. I really want to purchase a larger bottle since it’s a scent I know I’ll love in the summer and next year as well.
Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion
I was going back through some old vloggers’ favorites videos and heard from Samantha Maria about how this lotion cleared up an acne issue she had on her chest. Such a problem has been prevalent in my chest, shoulders and back for some months now and I just can’t seem to shake it no matter what. And for only $16USD what’s the harm in trying?
Origins Drink-up Intensive Overnight Mask
While I am in need of a new nighttime moisturizer very soon, the prospect of this mask caught my attention. Now that the winter is behind me, all my skin has to deal with are the dry and cold winds of Norwegian springtime, and what with my long-haul plane ride to NYC coming up I think my skin deserves a drink.
Dior Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum
Another item that I feel has been talked about for ages but has finally got me keen on trying it. I love bright and natural lipsticks in the summer, and a bold, fluttery goes well with both of those looks, and I think this would save me the trouble of using two mascaras layered or the prospect of falsies. Although it does seem rather pricey, I’m curious to try it! Hit me with your best shot Dior!
MAC Shy Girl lipstick
Ever since seeing the stunning Jenn Im of Clothes Encounters sporting this lip color, I’ve been smitten and on the prowl for it everytime I magically find a MAC store. The last time I checked was at a counter I found in Berlin, but no such luck. This lovely peachy-orange cremesheen would be such a beautiful nude for spring and summer.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Naked
As you might have heard by now, I can’t seem to get enough of my UD Revloution Lipstick in Naked, and what better way to try and come over it than to pick up the matching lip liner? One of my favorite minimal-makeup wearing bloggers, Sonya Esman of Class Is Internal says this lip liner changed her life, and with the way I feel about the lipstick version, I think this could just as well for me.
Essie Silk Watercolor
Aquerelle/Watercolor is perhaps my favorite medium of paint. The colors flow together so beautifully and everything looks so elegant and smooth. When I saw that Essie were releasing watercolor nail polishes, I nearly lost it!
